Invitation for Local Artists

Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre (SVCC), Embassy of India, Yangon, is inviting applications from local artists to be included in our list of esteemed artists in the fields of Dance, Music, Hindi, Sanskrit, and Yoga.

Eligibility Criteria:

- Any Indian artist locally available.

- Any local or foreign national who has completed at least one year of study in performing arts in India.

- Students of the Indian Cultural Center.

- ICCR Alumni in the area of performing/visual arts or their students.

- Any local expert/ICCR alumni in the area of Hindi, Sanskrit, or Yoga.

- Winners of ICCR's Pratibha Sangam competition.

 

Types of Artists:

Artists will be categorized based on their experience and achievements as follows:

  1. Outstanding

   - Must have at least 15 years of performing experience.

   - Must be an award winner of an international institution or have coverage in international media.

  1. Established:

   - Must have at least 10 years of performing experience.

   - Must be an award winner of a recognized institution in their country or have coverage in national media.

  1. Proficient:

   - Must have at least 5 years of performing experience.

   - Must have special recognition by Mission/Post/ICCR or have coverage in local media.

  1. Learner:

   - less than 5 years of performance experience.

 

Honorarium:

Honorarium per artist will be paid based on the above categorization.

Application Process:

Interested artists are requested to send their applications to cul.yangon@mea.gov.in by 30th July 2024. Please include a detailed CV with photos, video links of your performances, and any media coverage.
