Press Release:EMBASSY OF INDIA YANGON TENDER NOTICE(May 2011)
TENDER NOTICE
On behalf of Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), South Block, New Delhi, Embassy of India, Yangon invites sealed quotations from eligible bidders (Annexure I) which are Indian Original Equipment Manufacturers for supply of Tractors, Combined Harvesters, Power Tillers and other Agricultural Machinery (2 Furrow Disc Plough, Mould Board Plough, Rotavator, Disc Harrow, Ridge Planter, 7 Feet Leveler, Post Hole Digger, Multi Crop Planter, Tractor Mounted Harvester) and Spare Parts which are manufactured in India to the Government of Union of Myanmar on CIF, Yangon basis.
The suppliers are required to provide free service for one year of warranty and after sales service for the next five years. They will have to give an undertaking that adequate spare parts will be available at the Service Centres set up by the company in Myanmar or by arrangement with local companies/organisations.
Tender document can also be obtained from the Embassy of India, Yangon’s website: http//:www.indiaembassy.net.mm. The sealed quotations would be accepted till 16th May 2011. Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) draft of Rs. 1 crore favouring “the Pay & Accounts Officer, Ministry of External Affairs” should be submitted along with the bid.
Quotations should be submitted on single-stage two-bid system (technical and financial). Both the sealed envelopes, clearly marked so, should be kept inside a large sealed envelope super-scribed as ”Tender for supply of Tractors and Other Agricultural Machinery to Govt. of Myanmar” and couriered to the Head of Chancery, 545-547 Merchant Street, Embassy of India, Yangon so as to reach by 16th May 2011. The sealed quotations would be opened on 18th May 2011at 1100hrs at Embassy of India, Yangon.
Embassy of India reserves the right to reject one or all of the bids without assigning any reason.
