Global RE-INVEST 2017 India-ISA Partnership from 15-17 February, 2017 in Gandhinagar, Gujarat
India is organising the Global RE-INVEST 2017 India-ISA Partnership scheduled from 15-17 February, 2017 in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. RE-INVEST 2015, organised in partnership with Indian Renewable Energy Agency (IREDA), Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce (FICCI) was a resounding success. Nearly 3,000 delegates including representatives from 41 countries participated in this 3-day event. Key participants included ministerial delegations from Germany and the UK, industry delegations from several countries including China and about 200 global investors. Over 200 speakers including more than 40 international speakers shared their perspectives on various aspects of renewable energy. The world-class trade show featured exhibits from 119 Indian & International organizations exhibiting their products, manufacturing technologies and innovations.
RE-INVEST 2015 saw capacity commitments of over 292GW from stakeholders and 78GW funding by major Banks and FIs in the next 5 years. India has set a target of installing 175 GW of renewable capacity by 2022. The objective of the RE-Invest series of conference-expos is to showcase India’s renewable energy potential and the Government's efforts to develop and scale up installed renewable energy capacity to meet the national energy requirement in a socially, economically and ecologically sustainable manner.
