State Mourning to be observed in memory of former Prime Minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee
The Embassy of India in Yangon announces with profound sorrow the death of Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee, former Prime Minister of India on 16 August, 2018, at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Hospital, New Delhi.
As a mark of respect to the departed dignitary, Seven days of State Mourning is being observed in India from 16.08.2018 to 22.08.2018.
A Condolence Book will be opened at the Embassy of India, 545-547, Merchant Road, Kyauktada Township, Yangon from 1000 hours to 1200 hours and 1500 hours to 1700 hours on Monday,20th & Tuesday 21st August, 2018 for all those who wish to pay respects.
